8 Types of Backlinks For Your Website

By Daniel McGonagle

There are many different ways to get backlinks. This article will discuss 8 of the most common ways to get backlinks. It will also discuss which types of links are most effective.

Do not give up on reciprocal links. They still have value. The ease of obtaining these links make them less effective than other types of backlinks but they have some value and they're not "dead" like so many people claim. These are 2-way links that happen when webmasters agree to link to each other's sites.

Social bookmarking links are a great way to get a new post or page indexed but have low value otherwise. If you want to rank well for highly competitive terms you need more than social bookmarks. I mean how many boxes of Girl Scout cookies can you sell to your friends? If you look at Cpanel for your website and look at AWSTATS you'll see that social bookmarking links are in a special category separate from other types of links. Hint. Do more than just be social.

One-way links are more powerful links. However,do not stop at only getting incoming links. Keep your outgoing links and incoming links in balance or it will be an unnatural flow of traffic at your site. Most of the time though this is not a problem because affiliate marketers are out-linking to affiliate programs anyways.

Blog commenting for backlinks is a popular method and free and you choose the relevant sites. However, these links aren't as valuable either. This is particularly true if the blog has been set with the NoFollow attribute. While you will find some value to blog commenting for backlinks you also need to pay attention to your return on investment on the time it takes to get these links. Often this is a time drain rather than a valuable backlink process. Your blog commenting does help build your recognition and credibilty in your field, though.

Three way links or 3 way links are a hybrid of reciprocal links and one way links . These types of services are usually only good for getting links to low-competition keywords, key-phrases, and niche topics. Nonetheless, you can add about 50 sites to these networks and get backlinks to all your sites automatically with 3 way links services. This is a pretty good deal for webmasters with a portfolio of mini-sites for low competition terms. Most 3 way link building services require you link out to other sites in order to get links. These are non-reciprocal from other sites in the 3 way linkbuilding service's network. If the network is full of quality sites, then there is decent value to this automated link building. Watch though because in most cases, you lose all your links if you cancel your membership.

Footer links are links at the bottom of sites that link to other sites. Many SEO bloggers claim that these types of links are ineffective and they are 100% wrong! Nowadays, footer links are most often seen at the bottom of blogs with links to the site that made the free WordPress theme, if the webmaster was using a free WordPress theme and many of those WordPress theme sites attain high Page Rank in very little time. And the same holds true for the sites where WordPress plugins are downloaded, and there is one marketer who has his footer links in all of the Master Resell Rights Websites he sells and all of those sites and sales pages that people are putting up are linking to his main site, which is page 2 for the term "make money online". Suffice to say that footer links do work well if there are a lot of people using the themes, plugins and leaving links intact into the footer sections of the Master Resell Rights website packages.

I think that paid links are an extreme waste of money. Paid links are links that you pay for in order to get some high Page Rank and relevant links back to your site for your chosen keywords. They are usually very costly. Worse yet, they are not permanent. They only last as long as your membership fees with that company is paying for those links. A far better idea is to pay a lesser fee each month for a linkbuilding service like Unique Article Wizard because they deliver quality and permanent one way links in quantity.

Newbies At Internet Marketing

By Larry Tucker

I am not what you would call a computer whiz or expert. In fact, I know just enough about the computer to just get me by!

I can send and receive e-mails.That's about IT !

If you are like me, you probably get many e-mails on how to make bundles of money with a home-based internet business. They talk about making large sums of money overnight by the internet, or by getting on the fast track to your own home-based business.

In my experiences of trying to find a legitimate offer, I have come to the conclusion that in each offer there is a common denominator. They lack follow through and support !!

In most cases, I didn't have the funds that were necessary to continue the pursuit. In one case I sent in the money and three months later, I am still waiting for the miracle materials that will change my life and the security of my family!

Yes I am one of those geeks that have dreams of having not only the necessities of life, but would like to have some of the comforts in life and help others do the same! After a while I began thinking that maybe I was the problem, not the programs. Well let me assure you. You and I are not the problem. The problem is NOT us!!

While I was almost ready to give up on my dreams, I came across a program by accident! I was searching on Google for that perfect program that would make me an instant millionaire. Then I clicked onto The MaxPro System. As I began reading, I noticed that this was not like the others! It was in a language I could understand and easy for me to read. As I continued reading The MaxPro System, I kept looking for the gotcha. WOW ! It never surfaced!

What I started hearing was that I could be the success that I wanted to be. It didn't take a lot of money being spent for seminars, unreadable books and over my head audios. I heard things like, if you are interested in a home-based business that gives you freedom, time with your family, unlimited income and the resources to do the things you want to do , then it is up to you!

I needed to build a strong foundation. I needed to decide the type of business I wanted and I needed to decide how much I was willing to invest in building my own business. I heard things like we will give you the support you need. It is there and in human form, not computer language! My decision to purchase The MaxPro System was NOT based on hype. The products involved are for a lifetime. They belong to you and are transferable. There is a team concept that I have not seen matched anywhere!! People helping other people succeed!

The set-up is done for you and your future prospects are just a click away. There are a lot of resources available. And they are FREE to use. I can totally recommend to anyone that has been searching for a legitimate online home-based this one has been proven to work.

You can do all of this through online real estate marketing. Many real estate firms and agents are now taking advantage of the internet and the possibilities that it has to offer and so should you.

It is really not as easy as one may think and it does require more than just starting a website. You have to have traffic to your website in order for it to work for you and creating that traffic can be difficult if you don't know what you are doing.

Making sure that you website is visible is the key to gaining the traffic that you need to experience success in online real estate marketing. The more links that you have coming into your website the better the chances that your future customers will be able to find you.

Social networking is another option that can help you to increase the productivity of your online real estate marketing campaign. Set up blogs that are linked to your site, write blogs or articles and help to keep the public informed about what is happening in the real estate market. They will then begin to view you as an expert in your field and this can help to increase your business as well.

Mathew Lesko Free Money To Pay Your Bills ?

By Rio Morales

Matthew Lesko; "Free Money to Pay Your Bills".

By now, you have surely seen his commercials on TV, often late at night and on Fox,.

Using a large number of different websites, but always the same pitch, the green suit covered with question marks and a maniacally shouting, annoying man, squealing "get money from the government to pay your rent for FREE!" He insists there are hundreds of government programs with money, for just about anything you want, you just need his book to tell you how to apply for the grants!

There are countless reports, firsthand, from people who have felt swindled and duped by Matthew Lesko's ads. Many feel that Matthew Lesko deliberately misleads those who buy his book. There are two big complaints:

1. Matthew Lesko makes it sound as though it is easy to obtain grants and money from the government and 2. He fails to mention the downsides, such as you will probably not be eligible for the vast majority of the programs.

For example, often grants that are referred to in Matthew Lesko's books are actually public assistance programs for which many people are not eligible.

Matthew Lesko makes it sound as though it is easy to get the grants and that he is telling you about programs that you don't already know about. Both are untrue: many of the programs are well-known and you won't qualify.

Matthew Lesko appears to admit this. According to the Washington City Paper:

Matthew Lesko acknowledges that his shtick obscures the enormous difficulties in securing government grants, but he sees no need to apologize for it. A degree of lying you know, white lies seems to be inherent in all languages and all forms of communication, he wrote in the introduction to his book "Free Money to Pay Your Bills". Its really not lying; its more a matter of not presenting the downside of a situation.

Even if Matthew Lesko is attempting to teach ordinary citizens how to bilk the government for funds from programs that are intended for the truly needy, this is not the worst of it.

The simply fact is the government is NOT going to pay your bills.

Matthew Lesko's commercials distort and exaggerate the intent and application of common government programs to make it sound like he has secret knowledge of special government programs to hand out money to anyone who asks.

Matthew Lesko's books are essentially useless collections of information that doesn't apply to you and you can easily obtain on the internet for free. His books are little more than a self-serving attempt to get into your wallet.

The truth is Matthew Lesko is looking for free money to pay his bills, and he is trying to get it from you.
