Six low cost ways to promote your business

By Glenn Guthrie

Blogging -It is really just an extended equivalent of what you would call, "word of mouth" business. Overall, blogs are where the public gives direct input and it gets updated regularly. This should prove cost effective for your company and is becoming more popular and credible with the consumer.

Business Cards -First rule for anyone in business for themselves or depending on salsas part of their business. You should always have business cards with you! This is the first line of communication with anyone that might need your product or service, now or in the future. Also, a business card has two sides. You shouldn't miss the opportunity to include some information on the back

Email -This will help to remind the customer that you are still out there thinking of their needs. And doing what you can to make sure they have the most current information at hand. Providing this is a low cost, effective way for you to market any changes going forward in your business. Decisions and changes are made everyday by people running businesses. Make sure you let them know you appreciate their patronage and that you want their continued business. You will find this to be an excellent and effective way to attract new business.

Networking -To be well connected doesn't always mean only to be connected at the top. It also has to do with the number of connections that you have. The more your name and business is out in the marketplace the more possibilities for business relationships you could form. For small or local business networking can be a lifeline to your growth and existence. You may look for local area groups or affiliations to assist with this endeavor.

Referrals-Good customer relations and service will typically lead to referrals from that customer. You worked hard to get their business so nurture it and appreciate it and the pay off is yours. That customer will refer you anytime that they can. Especially if you were able to handle a crisis or solve a problem for them. There is not enough good customer service today, which I don't understand. It is what drives repeat and referral customers to a business. A referral should be handled with certainty and cared for. They are the fruit of your endeavors that could continue to multiply.

Signs- Today there are quite a few versions that can be used, depending on your business type and your budget. There are roadside signs that are strategically posted mostly at intersections. The billboard that we see everyday next to the roads we travel. Business signs outside of structures, buildings, malls and plazas. Signs on the sides of vehicles too the new craze of the auto wrap around sign. Not to mention billboards on buses. All of these are a way for the business to say, "Here I am, you found me, this is what I do" or "this is how to reach me for what you need." Competitively staying in everyone's face and making sure they know you exist.
