Online Business is About Leveraging Other People

By Ina Hikmatullah

You dont have to have the news on for too long these days before you start to hear bleak news about the economy. It definitely seems that it is going to get worse before it gets better. So why not give an online business a try?

You may at first seem intimidated by the idea of starting your own entrepreneurial effort on the internet. Wont it cost a lot, and what exactly will I be doing? Believe it or not, starting an online business can require very few startup costs, and be quite easy and straightforward once you get the hang of it. Plus, much of it can be automatic, which saves you time. And more free time is what we all want more of, right?

Of course, sending products all over the globe will give your online business its own share of problems. After all, that means that you have to contend with the hassle of keeping track of your own inventory, shipping the product, dealing with refunds and damage, etc. Thats not fun, and fortunately, its not the only way to make money online. (Theres a new way to hustle the Internet everyday, let me tell you.)

You could always make a product thats accessible digitally. What does that mean? Well, more often than not, it means downloadable PDF files, or eBooks. Once you have one written, you just stick it on your website with a sales letter (the writing of which you should outsource, its well worth the investment) and wait for your information-hungry customers to find it. They cant download it until they pay you, which means that youre making money for something that really didnt require that much investment. How do you get people to visit your site? Get in touch with affiliates, people whose specialty it is to drive traffic to websites. If you have a good product, theyll be willing to help you promote it. Plus, they only get paid when you get paid. Its a pretty sweet deal for you.

I already know that many of you got turned off of even attempting this online business opportunity because you cant or dont like to write. Ill say it right now. Producing an eBook is as simple as outsourcing it to someone else. Many extremely successful eBooks were written by ghostwriters who had no idea whatsoever what they were writing about until they did a little studying. They got paid a modest 300 " 500 dollars, and the owner of the eBook went on to leverage it for six digit profits.

Obviously, having a great product will make you somewhere around zero dollars if nobody knows about it. Thats where affiliates come in. Submitting your eBook to websites like Clickbank.com will allow affiliates, people who work on a commission-only basis, to use a variety of means to promote your product. They only get paid when they make sales, so theres no way youll be on the short end of the stick.

So, look at how you are already ahead. You have a product you didnt necessarily have to create, being promoted by someone else, yet you are the on making money. All you had to do was locate a market you thought would be profitable, and start cashing the checks. Of course, there is a little but that really is a basic business model that many people use every day to become financially free. Online business really doesnt get too much better than that.
