Simply Write Articles for Business Promotion

By Leigh-Ann Lemire

If you are just starting out as an article writer, the easiest method is to write articles with bullet points that list out information regarding your niche.

A list article can be about the top 6 best tips or the top 10 resources and so on that deal with your particular subject. If you expand to a broader subject, you can write a list article that deals with tips about promoting it or tips for marketing it successfully.

A list article is rapid to write because it only needs a catchy title, an introductory paragraph, the list of your tips and you can end with a paragraph that summarizes it all if you wish.

Making the article larger is easy to do with a few extra paragraphs at the beginning and giving a fuller explanation for each tip that you are writing about. Make the beginning paragraphs interesting enough so that your readers will want to continue to find out about the tips that you are providing.

Here are some key tips to writing a successful article:

1. Give lots of good, helpful information in your tips.

Point up the benefits for your reader. What will your reader get out of following the tip? Give full details on how to apply the tip that you are giving. By giving information that is extremely useful, you will start increasing your readership.

2. Direct your article to the people that want to hear about the subject.

Speaking about that latest fashion tips in your article when your business is about book reviews is not going to get people to your site or increase your readership. Write your article on how to do a good book review with your resource box with the same type of information at your site, does increase your readership.

3. Keep your article clean.

The way to keep your article looking clean and easy to read is by keeping your paragraphs short and concise. Use three to four sentences of varied length. Doing so makes the article easy to read and gives a person that is skimming over the article more incentive to stop and read it.

4. When composing an article, write it as if you are speaking to an individual.

Doing so preserves your personality while at the same time, by making it personal, your readers will enjoy your articles more. Making an article that only give facts erases your personality and comes across as boring.

5. Check for mistakes in your article.

A professional article gets a better following. Have you ever read an article or web page online that had spelling or grammar mistakes? Did you keep reading? You need to spend the extra bit of time to ensure that you created a professional article. Check the spelling and grammar by going to http://www.spellchecker.net/spellcheck/. Also, if you are like me, you may have cut and pasted some information into your article or deleted or changed the wording in some way - be sure to check to ensure it flows properly so that your article is easy to read.
