What World Ventures Founders Want You To Know

By Ellie Gant

In December 2005, World Ventures founders Wayne Nugent and Mike Azcue launched the company, a network marketing enterprise that sells discount vacation memberships. The company now runs at a profit, while allowing members to both travel at a discount, and sell those vacations themselves.

World Ventures has other people vital to the business. The president is Robert Oblon, and Dan Stamen is Chief Marketing Officer. Grant Merz directs the Dream Trip program, the vehicle for members to buy discount vacations. These vacations are purchased in bulk, so members get the discounts passed along to them. Members can choose from highly physical domestic trips, to luxury cruises, and everything in between.

The company Rovia is World Ventures exclusive travel provider. Rovia is partnered with Barcelo Resorts, Elite Island Resorts, Outrigger Resorts, MLT Vacations, Funjet Vacations, Riu Hotels & Resorts, Melia Hotels & Resorts, GoGo Vacations, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and Carnival Cruise Lines.

The World Ventures founders envisioned a company that would sell not only affordable vacations, but would allow members to become part of the company themselves. Members can become Leisure Travel Consultants, allowing them to sell vacations through Rovia. It does not make them travel agents, just Rovia resellers. Members are compensated for recruiting others to sell the products, and when people buy travel through their website.

Many World Ventures LTCs become frustrated, and eventually leave the system. This is because although the world-wide travel industry is upwards of $8 trillion, it is a very competitive marketplace. Leisure Travel Consultants are encouraged to show their websites to family and friends to make their sales.

Having people in a person's real life go look at thier website is not the best way to promote the website. The number of visitors will be miniscule when compared to all the people who are surfing the web looking for travel opportunities. Marketing websites is a specific, learned skill. Fortunately marketing education programs exist that will teach people a more effective way of promoting their website.

Plenty of programs are available over the internet, creating flexible schedules and a learn at your own pace kind of environment. People can learn while working a full time job, or even while staying at home with the kids. Today, many marketers are making a full time income through their marketing efforts. But they had to learn the fundamentals first.

I?m sure the World Ventures founders had the best of intentions when they encouraged their members to become resellers. Unfortunately, their members will achieve greater success if they pursue their marketing knowledge from a different source.
