Get Website Traffic (Free!)

By Robert Hillman

Where do we start to get website traffic? Especially free traffic.First things first, don't go and pay for any more traffic programs until you read all of this article. There are many courses that offer to teach you how to get traffic for a fee, some methods work and others do not.

I have spent countless dollars on programs that did not work (you could say, I had more dollars than sense!) What I had to do was to step back from the oven for a while to see what was cooking. In other words take some time out to regroup before spending any more money.

In fact, if you are starting out on a 'shoe-string budget' l, you may not want to spend any money at all, the fact is that you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a lot of traffic. Call it an 'old wives tale' or just call it something that someone wants you to believe ( are they trying to sell you something?). It can be a good idea to take a step back.

From doing all the "hard yards", I have found that one of the most simple ways to get website traffic is through article writing.I know that it may seem a bit daunting at times to write articles, but it is quite easy. The payoff is that there is no payoff! You get to get free traffic when you publish your articles, simple as that.

If you have never had any experience writing before, then just think of it as if you were talking to one of your friends and explaining it to them. What people like to read is your 'first-hand' experience. In fact it is better if your look at your writing in this way, it is much easier than you think, you just have to make a start. Your articles can be fairly short, from 250 to 500 words is all, that is just a few short paragraphs.

Make sure of course that you sign each article with your website URL. In real terms, there will be about ten percent of all your article readers that will click through to your website. A smaller percentage again will also buy what you are selling. This is an economical way to get website traffic.
