Online Surveys - Getting Paid For Your Opinions - But How Well?

By Tyrone Moon

Online surveys - get paid for opinions from the comfort of your own armchair. Want the lowdown?

When you walk down the street almost every conversation you hear is the exchange of opinions. This is the backbone of our social intercourse, and we all do it, but work at home surveys actually offer you the chance to be paid for opinions. So how do you go about getting the money and how much can you get?

Cash for surveys websites don't require special qualifications or education, and are eligible to almost everyone. After registering at a website, you will be sent, every so often, a form usually with multiple choice answers. You then get paid or otherwise somehow rewarded, after completion.

Online survey money is not enormous, but can make you up to a couple of hundred dollars per month. You'll first need to join quite a few survey sites.

You can't just sign up to the most reputable online survey site and expect to get paid for your opinions every day - they usually search a narrow band of demographic, or interest-type you might not fall into.

You will need to do an online search for cash for surveys companies, and then read real people's reviews of these. The time taken to do this may save a lot of heartache later on. Then you should sign up to as many of the better sites as possible. If you have a few better-paying survey panel sites, you could double your income from these by also signing up at the smaller sites.

A lot of people think that they cannot make cash from online surveys because the sites send surveys few and far between. They give up at the start. However, many sites will test commitment, especially at the beginning, and will up frequency and reward after proving yourself.

Money for surveys runs at approximately two dollars for a short survey, rising to twenty for more detailed surveys. Your work at home survey does not have to pay out in cash, though, so if you don't mind being paid in gift certificates or raffle prizes (which could be significant) then don't join.

Although some companies are not the most honest, that is no reason why you should not be. To get paid for your opinions, they really should be yours, and they will occasionally check (especially when you've just joined up) so don't let your kids fill them out for you.

Cash for survey sites have a target demographic or interest group, which may not pick you up as being in the target group. So if you like Persian cats and ballet, you may not get a survey on male hair care.

So, to conclude, you can make money for surveys if you sign up to several of the more reputable cash for surveys websites, fill them out honestly, and stick at it. You won't get rich, but its cash in your pocket in these hard times.
