Linking Your Website for Ranking Purposes

By Jack Spencer

One of the most difficult things about owning a website to being successful with it is finding search engine rankings that are really going to put you at the top and bring you traffic on a consistent basis. The majority of us might spend some time thinking about that one single keyword that is going to bring us a ton of traffic but the unfortunate thing is, it is typically out of reach. Even if we do achieve a top ranking for that keyword, it can quickly disappear and leave us high and dry.

It is often a much better idea to go after keywords that are reasonably available, even though you may have to go after more of them in order to reach the same numbers. I've been working on the Internet for quite a number of years and in that time, I have enjoyed some very nice search engine listings that have brought me a lot of traffic. I will take the five key words that bring me 1000 people a day combined over one keyword that does the same thing, anytime.

Of course, regardless of whether you are going after one keyword or if you are going after many, there is something that you're going to need in order to make it a reality. Any search engine is not going to rank you for anything unless you have back links your website that show that it has some kind of popularity. Since it is very difficult for these search engines to rank webpages in any other way, the back link seems to be their only resource.

It can be very difficult for you to get these back links regularly, especially if you are trying to do so through conventional means. You could e-mail a hundred people every day and ask them to link your site and although you may get a few links in return, it is typically not going to be worth your efforts to do so. Sometimes, you need to step out of the lines, even if only a little bit in order to make things work.

There are a number of different programs that help you to get these back links, but not all of them are going to give you the type of links that you really need. For example, some of whom will only exchange links, one between the other and the search engines will really ignore these links for the most part.

That is why I typically recommend putting your website into the my way links network, just so you can have a website that will allow your links to go on a variety of other websites without any reciprocation. Just sign up for the program and once you're in, you can get as many links as you want and continue to get them to see your search engine rankings rise.

One other thing that you would want to make sure it is that you have an excellent website that people are going to want to link to without anything in return. Competing in today's market can be a difficult thing about as long as you are making sure that you are doing what is necessary to get incoming links, you can have a voice in the community.
