7 Reasons Why You Should Be In The Travel Business

By Gary Mooney

Are you one of those who are dissatisfied with their current career? Do you know a lot of people who wants to travel? If you answer to these questions, then you now have a good reason to setup your very own home based travel business!

Who doesn't like to travel? Admit it, you yourself find your everyday routine to be monotonous and unexciting. Perhaps you like different scenery besides that of your cubicle. The fact is everybody likes to travel; to experience a new view, a well known tourist destination, and even experience a new culture. Even if the economy isn't that good, we all still like to get away from it all, even for just for a while. If people travel when the prices are high, imagine if you could offer discounted travel to your family and friends! How many do you think will jump to take the chance?

You can simply earn while they travel. Travelling means spending. People have to pay when they rent a car or buy plane tickets. It's not cheap to travel but because people have the natural urge to go places, people will spend. That is the reason why the travel business is an industry that amounts to $7 trillion a year - that's $19 billion per day, 799 million per hour, and 13 million per minute. By the time we reach 2010, it is estimated to reach $14 trillion. Also, it grows 23% faster than the U.S. economy itself. Now, isn't it that a great business opportunity?

If you have friends who travel, they will choose you. In this travel business, you have a chance of competing against travel conglomerates like Cheaptickets, Travelocity, Expedia, and even Orbitz. If you have travel offers similar to what they have, who do you think your friends will choose: you, whom they know, and trust, or the big travel corporations? You know the only answer to that.

They will choose you. If you're in this travel business and you offer the same price to your friends and family, who do you think they'll choose? Of course, it's you! People do not buy from people or companies they have never heard about. Although companies can be well known, these big travel conglomerates such as Expedia, Cheaptickets, Travelocity, and Orbitz are all impersonal. Hence, you have a big chance of winning over them.

Be your own boss. By working at home, you would definitely have more time for your family, hobbies and other things worthwhile to you. Now you can nurture your well-being at your own pace. Also, now you don't have to deal with a boss who constantly drives you to work in a typical office cubicle farm.

The Internet is a powerful tool. Being at home doest mean you're isolated from the outside world. In these days, you will rarely find a person who doesn't have an internet connection at home. This fact alone gives you the advantage of flourishing in travel business. If everybody likes to travel and are connected to the internet, you have a great business opportunity right at your fingertips, right inside your home.

If big companies are in it, why shouldn't you be in it too? With little effort and capital many across America are currently earning big in this business as they compete with the well established travel conglomerates. It's a healthy competition so you should be in it too.The best point is you can very well earn big in travel commissions while having the best benefits a typical office setting can possibly give. Better yet, why not travel and earn a lot, at the same time?
